Financial industry social communications pioneer Harvest, subject of a FINtech Focus article on FINalternatives last year, has announced that its software will power digital access to content, presentations and events from The Market Technicians Association’s 43rd Annual Global Symposium that took place from April 6 to April 8.

At the conference, industry-leading market technicians and academics, including Ralph Acampora, Gary Antonacci and John Murphy, explored technical analysis tools and research integral to the investment management process.

Harvest’s Private software enables to access to Symposium content post-conference through a secure community for conference participants and registered guests. In addition to viewing the video content from the Symposium, Harvest Private software will provide MTA digital attendees networking opportunities through its proprietary communication technology.

Harvest is among the new generation of fintech companies harnessing the social media revolution to change the way financial firms interact with clients, investors and each other.

In addition to other groundbreaking technology, Harvest is exploring the implementation of proprietary blockchain technology to support more transparent communication among the financial community across digital networks. The company’s Harvest Exchange service is a public community where investment organizations publish branded investment expertise to a large and relevant audience, while Harvest Private offers investment organizations a way to create their own branded, secure, invite-only community.

More than 9,000 hedge funds and global investment firms, including firms such as BlackRock, Third Point, and PIMCO, now utilize Harvest’s social network software to more efficiently communicate with existing, and prospective, clients and investors. Launched in 2013, the company’s user base now totals more than 200,000 investors.
