FTI Consulting Unveils Cayman-Based Director Support Services Offering

Jul 25 2017 | 7:56pm ET

Global advisory services company FTI Consulting has debuted a new specialist director support services offering following regulatory approval and relevant registrations in the Cayman Islands.

With the new offering, FTI Consulting will complement its existing services to alternative investment funds, the company said in a statement. As one of a select few restructuring firms licensed and regulated by CIMA for the purpose of providing independent directors, FTI’s senior Cayman Islands-based executives can assist directors, investment managers, lenders, investors and their advisors by accepting board appointments to help navigate through challenging situations or implement change.

“Boards and managers are often faced with unwelcome high-pressure situations such as complex restructurings, contentious corporate disputes and challenging regulatory investigations,” said David Griffin, leader of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment in the Cayman Islands at FTI Consulting. “Our directors have the highest levels of experience and are able to provide strong leadership and hands-on support during these difficult situations.”

The company’s Cayman Islands team works with clients on matters such as wind downs and closures, liquidity management and asset realization, net asset value restatements, dispute resolution, independent reviews and investigations, and enforcement of debt and/or security.

Founded in 1982, FTI Consulting is a global business advisory firm focused on change management, risk mitigation and dispute resolution within the financial, legal, operational, political & regulatory, reputational and transactional segments. The firm has more than 4,600 employees in 28 countries.
