Muzinich Hires Males As Head of Institutional Business

Corporate credit specialist Muzinich & Co has appointed former Legal & General Investment Management executive Simon Males as head of institutional business as the company executes on a plan to expand its global presence.

In his new role, Males will be responsible for the growth and development of the firm’s UK institutional client base and consultant relationships, and will report directly to CEO George Muzinich, the company said in a statement. The role is new and will be effective this winter.

Prior to joining Muzinich, Males was head of global fixed income distribution for Legal & General Investment Management. Beforehand, he was managing director, Institutional Client Relations at Pramerica Fixed Income, and was head of institutional business at Pictet Asset Management for five years.

Founded in New York in 1988, Muzinich is a global institutional asset manager specializing in corporate credit. The company manages more than $35 billion deployed across a broad range of corporate credit funds in both developed and emerging markets.
